This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Training Coordinator with experience across civil, mining or renewable projects. Our client is a multidisciplinary family-owned civil contractor with their own plant hire fleet, providing comprehensive civil and earthworks services nationally.
This National Civil Contractor are seeking a Training Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years’ safety experience, or similar within civil construction. The role will involve coordinating and recording all training programs for the JV personnel to meet the competency requirements and contractual obligations of the project and ensure all funding/ grants of identified programs are coordinated.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to include:
- Ensure personnel training records are maintained to meet employee, JV and statutory requirements and entitlements.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.
- Observe safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards.
- Development of training schedules, venues and resources in consultation with Human Resources Manager.
- Creation and monitoring of purchase orders, allocations, financial reports and associated training costs, with relevant budget owner approvals
- Maintenance of the PDP-AU and Salesforce training database and training registers for all JV personnel; including Salaried, Wages, Subcontractors and Labour Hire employees’.
- General office duties including the development of presentations and support to the Senior Managers.
- Maintain register of preferred training providers
- Obtain proof of training and distribute certification following relevant training programs.
- Communicate with relevant RTO’s industry stakeholders on funding, revisions and updates to required levels of competence for the activities JV undertake including apprenticeships and trainees.
The successful applicant will be confident in motivating and actively promoting training in the workplace. This individual will be organised, with a high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the project.
