Project Sunshine Coast / Initially based in Brisbane Major TMR Infrastructure projectsLeading mid-tier Civil Contractor with strong presence in the industry    This favorable national civil contractor is a leading contractor who work within resources, local authorities and main roads projects across Australia. Led by a team of highly skilled professionals within the industry, this contactor is experienced across multiple disciplines including roads, earthworks, drainage and concrete structures.They have a number of major TMR/BCC roadwork projects valued anywhere between $50M - $600M around Brisbane, Gold Coast and up to Sunshine Coast. With major infrastructure works coming up on the Sunshine Coast, they are currently looking to secure a Senior Safety Advisor with a minimum of 5 years’ TMR experience or similar across major projects managing a team of Advisors. Reporting into the Safety Manager, as the Senior Safety Advisor you will provide visible leadership and operational direction to drive health & safety performance across the project. Additional responsibilities include:Working closely with the workforce, engineers and client to ensure the safe delivery of structures, rail and civil works, all in line with relevant specifications. Leading a team of Safety Advisors to implement OH&S practices, systems and procedures to maintain high safety standards on site. Leading and supporting incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Preparing reports and documentation for project teams and senior managementMonitoring safety performance will be apart of your everyday responsibilities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.  To be successful you must have a minimum of 5 + years civil construction experience, ideally across major main roads projects for a contractor in similar conditions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to promote and lead a safe working culture. Diploma in Work Health & Safety, Certificate IV – Training & Assessment (TAE40116) and ICAM Lead Investigator Training highly desirable.
